under 60 minutes Red moderate Card Making Feminine

Here is the 2nd card I made for my Sister-In-Law's Birthday.  This one using my favourite Santoro Willow collection, I love everything about this collection and know it has fast become my most favourite go-to when i want something really pretty and feminine.

  • Using red card from the DE textured pad I created a centre stepper card measuring approx. 7” wide x 5 ¼ “high.  I applied Dovecraft Glitter Glue in ‘crystal’ around all the cut edges to add some sparkle.

  • Using the dark plum pearlescent paper from the Willow A4 paper pad, I cut paper to shape and matted onto slightly larger pieces of pale green textured cardstock before adhering the completed panels onto the stepper base using double sided tape.  Cut a length of the red velvet ribbon, angling the ends and glue along the front of the card.

  • Taking one of the character toppers ‘my love stories’ and mounting onto slightly larger oval of the pale green textured card, adding a trim of brown ric rac ribbon to frame the topper and edging both parts with the ‘crystal’ glitter glue.  When dry mount again onto a scalloped oval of the red textured card.  Mount the completed topper onto the front panel of the Stepper card using 3D foam pads in the centre area only to allow space for the embellishments.

  • Using the Willow die set, cut 3 skeleton flower shapes from the canvas effect paper in the A4 pad.  Take 2 large red paper blooms (willow) and large pink paper bloom (Sweet Paris), shape the skeleton leaves and glue 1 to the centre of each bloom.  Stick the 2 red blooms  and a green paper leaf around the right hand side of the character topper, sliding just under the edges and glue into place.

  • Position a peacock feather to the left hand side of topper, cutting down a little if required for desired height.  Add the pink paper bloom and 2 green paper leaves to bottom left of character topper so that it overlaps the topper and the red velvet ribbon trim.  Glue a ‘Sweet Paris’ accordion sticker and pale green button on top and add a little adhesive pearl to finish.  Add another pale green button topped with an adhesive pearl to the top right red bloom too.

  • Take a gold toned ‘willow’ metal charm ‘with love’ sentiment, tie a little red velvet ribbon through the top and trim to size.  Slip one of the leaf stick pins through the back of the ribbon knot and secure the stick pin through the flower pushing it into the 3D foam behind to secure.  Add a little 3D foam to the back of the metal charm to hold it in place.

  • To finish add silver and pale green sequins in both sizes to right of topper and the rest of the card panels as desired.
