TC - Floral

over 60 minutes None easy None None

When I thought floral, I thought of a flower basket.  This is how I made it...

I cut a long strip of card about 10" X 8".  Then I cut slits down one of the long edges slightly deeper than half way down

Then I curled over each strip with the handle of a small artist paint brush (but you could use your scissors).  I stuck each one on the bottom of the basket piece...all except the 2 centre strips that I folded up to make the handle that I glued together.

I cut a circle shape just larger than the bottom of the basket and cut slits all the way around.  I then put glue on the edge and inserted at the bottom to make the base.

I cut out lots of flowers ..you can use die cut or punched ones and I added some shading on to each.  I splashed them with watercolour paint, but you can use inks.  You could even cut the flowers in patterned paper.

I die cut 2 butterflies to add to the handle and also added 3 flowers.  To each flower centre I added some sparkly glue.

I am using this basket as an Easter display for the grandchildren..I have filled it with some polystyrene eggs.
