Just a note to say........ 8x8 Card Thinking of you
I have used an 8x8 black card for this project. I cut off a 2 1/2 inch strip from the front page, this allowed the Eiffel Tower cut out to sit neatly meeting the back page. I layered the front and inside front as well as the inside back page with two papers from the lovely 'Sweet Paris' collection. The first paper I used is a green one, I cut this slightly smaller than the actual card, then I did the same with the second paper, layering the floral on top of the green on the front cover and pink script paper on top of the green inside.
The Eiffel tower is cut from the Cricut Wall Décor cartridge. I cut it at 8 inches using black card, then I cut it again using paper from the collection. I glued them together and attached to the card making sure the Eiffel tower lined up with the bottom corner of the back page.
I mat and layered the topper and stamped a message to the front and the inside of the card. Inside the front cover I made a little pocket, mat and layering again. I popped in a film strip I cut from a die and glued images of Paris onto it. I stamped the word Paris onto a postcard, also popped in a decorative photo mat with a few tickets stamped Paris. I added a couple of bows and a button from the collection. I applied black glitter on the flourishes around the Eiffel Tower. I added 3 small roses with black leaves, stamens and curly paper strands to the tower. I also used black gems to decorate the front cover and the corners of the card.
I love the way this card turned out, Pink and black look great together.
