Messing about making matchboxes

over 60 minutes None easy None None

Been messing about making matchboxes today. To be honest I had zero plan when I started and it just sort of morphed from what was to hand.It was fun if a bit fiddly at times.

I cut and assembled the box,, ink stenciled the outside edges and adhered  an internal layer which was painted with acrylics. I stamped the birds onto the back of the painted layer.

The tree and boat were stamped, coloured, cut and then popped up onto the box and the front was filled with granite flakes and art stones.

I plan to decorate the outside of the box sleeve but for now it simply has a layer of stenciled distress oxides.

Thanks for looking xx

Glad to see the photo worked out! Loving the little diorama scene you've created in the box. Having the natural stone pieces included in the scene really makes it look special.
