Playing again with the fab Grand Plans papers from First Edition, it’s so easy to decorate your favourite card shapes. Here I have cut a Diamond Fold card on my Cricut Explore, but you can also create this shape by scoring and folding, there are lots of instructions online. This little diamond fold card is only 9.5cm square when folded down and has a matching wrap band to hold it together so it can be put into an envelope.
Step by Step:
Create a Diamond Fold card using the green pattern double sided papers in the 12 x 12 Grand Plans pad. Using double sided paper means the back is already decorated for you! Ink all around the cut edges and the folded edges with a red ink to add definition.
Cut 2 panels of the T Shirt pattern paper to cover the left and right panels on front of card. A square of black star paper for the centre diamond, and 10 triangles of the beer bottle paper for the triangular panels. Inking all around the cut edges with red ink before adhering the pieces to the card base.
Cut out some of the sentiments from the papers, I’m using ‘You’re the best’, ‘Awesome’, and ‘Let’s Celebrate’. Fish tail the ends and add across the front panel, at angles, using d/s tape and / or glue. Cut out a little guitar motif and add that too.
To finish, create a little wrap band to hold your card together for presentation. I’ve used the black star pattern paper and added beer bottle paper to the top. I’ve also cut out an individual bottle and added it with a 3D foam pad.
