This handcrafted card looks stunning with a crown of 3D butterflies at the top, and though it looks quite difficult to make, it’s actually really simple. Watch as we show you how to craft this this beautiful handmade card in no time at all!

Ideal for beginners or for seasoned crafters looking for cardmaking inspiration, this design is sure to impress. With just a thin semi-circle of acetate and some pretty embellishments, up your cardmaking game in no time at all and create a magical greetings card that any recipient will treasure.

We enlisted the help of our talented design team member Christine for this video. Christine creates many wonderful craft projects and, as well as cardmaking, she’s great at making delightful home décor pieces too. Christine used the lovely new Dovecraft Premium Fairy Tales collection for this project. With a magical feel, its floral, butterfly and fairy adorned pages are perfect for pretty papercrafts.

For this card, Christine made use of the mesmerising Holographic Butterfly toppers (DCTOP137), which are self-adhesive to make applying them even easier. Also featured in this video tutorial are the pretty Fairy Tales adhesive pearls (DCDOT045) and sticker book, bursting with cute sentiments and icons (DCSTK075).

We’re also very proud that the Dovecraft Fairy Tales collection will be supporting Mind, the mental health charity. A minimum of £10,000 will be donated from the sales of this collection to our amazing charity partner.

Mind is a registered charity in England and Wales (no. 219830).
