This week we’re showing you how to customise your own DIY Travel Mug with any of your favourite papers – we used our new Dovecraft Premium Happy You Paper Pad! Featuring stunning rose gold foiling, this collection is ideal for giving a modern look to your crafts and accessories. Here’s a step-by-step: 1. Remove the lid of your travel mug and set aside. 2. Peel off the label from the bottom of the travel mug and remove any sticky residue with a damp cloth if necessary. 3. Using a screwdriver, unscrew the bolt holding the mug together – but keep it safe as you’ll need it later! 4. With the screw removed, you should now be able to remove the metal inside and take out the paper insert. 5. Flatten the paper insert and use it as a template to draw a new insert from your chosen paper pad. 6. Cut out your new insert and wrap it around the metal inside of the mug. 7. Replace the plastic outer portion and screw the bolt back in to reassemble your travel mug. 8. To protect the screw and keep it from coming undone, cut a scalloped circle from craft firm and attach to the bottom with glue. And you’re done! This simple craft is great to take your hot drinks on the go – and it also makes a fantastic gift. You could customise it further by adding die cuts or stamping to your paper before reassembling your travel mug – how about personalising it with your name, or how you like your coffee?
