Microwave Xmas pud
Microwave pud as requested by nannybroomsticks. I've not made the sauce so can't pass comment on that and I no longer use the gravy browning. I think it was only there to give it colour and it was the only time in the year I used it!!! I use the vegetarian suet but you can change things to suit yourself anyway. It really is quite easy to make but as you can see there is quite a lot that goes into it which is why I prefer to do it before the Big Day. I find it makes a couple of puds and the second one usually gets frozen for the following year - unless anyone fancies it before then. Think if you zoom in the instructions are large enough to see, if not let me know and I'll have to send it as an attachment to a regular email. Bon apetit :D Cyndi

Re: Microwave Xmas pud
Not sure how long it keeps jets but a fair while. I keep it in the fridge though once it's been started. Instead of one large(ish) pud I always use the mixture for 2 x 1lb basin sizes. Years ago I made one for us and one for MIL around October time but when she checked hers just before Xmas it had mold on the top. Don't know why and this was the first time it had ever happened. Now I still make them ahead of time but wrap and freeze them. Now our family is much smaller and we tend to use just the one on Xmas day but the other one stays in the freezer (well wrapped) until the following Xmas - unless someone fancies it in the middle of summer!
