painting parchment with pearl powders
i have just been experimenting and thought i would pass this on.
for those of you that are parchment crafters you will know how difficult it is to paint on parchment. The dry brush methods take loads of practice and to be honest there is probably no way around these methods if you are to get the best affects. I know that we already have pearlised paints but i find that i get a little impatient. so if you are like me here is a great tip for punched and 3D flowers and elements.
once you have your flowers punched lay them on a clean sheet of paper. on your pallet put one drop of PVA glue and about 5 drops of water and your pearl powder giving them a good mix.
I used a waterbrush
now keeping your brush reasonabley dry paint the flower with the mix if it curls just use an acrilic block to flatten it. wait for it to dry and give it two or three coats. leave them to dray for about 1 hour. then emboss them in the normal way. You will find that the paint mix has strengthed the paper.
