patchwork beginner
I'm thinking of having a go at some patchwork and I'm looking for advice on a basic tool set. e.g. What size rotary cutter, ruler and mat. Should I just go for a large one. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Sharon

Re: patchwork beginner
Create and craft have some classroom tutorials with their present demonstrator who seems very good. there are also downloads showing the different pattern formations. They might be useful to you. Not sure of her name but will look it up.
I really appreciate all your lovely comments on my projects. Your feedback is very important to me.

Her name is Jennie Rayment. Go into C and C page and look under Sewing. Under patchwork ....From there Quilting Classroom will take you to 3 lessons. They also have titles of other useful sections.

Re: patchwork beginner
You can either go the old school and use a good pair of dressing making shears and use paper templates and taylors chalk Or go quilting templates/rulers with a good large cutting mat and rotary cutter. Either ways work. If you want to good informative 'How to Videos' with simple step by step instructions and can get past the American Southern accent then I would suggest going to youtube and typing in Missouri quilting company.
