Re: New Start
Well done Annette not tried one of those. My new start is I'm trying needle felting not doing too bad for first attempts. though I think it may have been an idea to watch some you tube videos before I started the instructions on the hobbycraft kit aren't that good for a beginner but I'm getting there.
Keep grinning!

Re: New Start
This year I am going to teach myself with the help of computer videos to do Tunisian crochet(never been able to do crochet very much)I have lots of oddmants of yarn in my cupboard. Annette, sure you will do well with your new way to do blankets. Sandra,I have a fear that if I tried to do felting I would spend most of the time stabbing my fingers instead of the fabric, having watched some do felting on the craft channels.Good luck. Adrienne

Re: New Start
Talking of knitting machines, mine is still up in the loft somewhere. Maybe I will get hubby to bring it down and then I can get back to it. I stopped using it when handknits went out of fashion :o :o My girls refused to wear 'handmade' so I stopped sewing at about the same time. Don't fancy needlefelting, I am too clumsy and would end up with lots of holes in my fingers  I have loads of how-to pages taken from magazines, so my new years resolution is to try a new technique every week. No use resolving to buy less stash, I have already broken that in the online sales

Thanks to everyone who comments on my projects. I am very grateful even if I don't always get around to thanking you personally! <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

Re: New Start
My new start this year is to go back to knitting properly. I made that potato chip scarf just before Christmas after years of not knitting and since we have been up here made two plain knitted neck "cosies" for the two youngest granddaughters. Saw an idea in Portobello Rd market and had a go. Just need to sew them up and decorate with pomp poms when I get home. I want to make myself a long waistcoat. So will search around for a suitable pattern when I return home.
I really appreciate all your lovely comments on my projects. Your feedback is very important to me.

Re: New Start
I want to do more scrap booking. I have now got the interactive pages ready and am in the process of mounting the photos to go in. This will be for our daughter who will be 40 next month. I don't want to rush it, and I want it to be better than the last one I made for eldest daughter's wedding. It made me feel sad looking at the photos that i sorted out to put in the scrapbook. It just seems like the years flew by!! Angela
