Are you always running out of printer ink?
Came across this video. Have not tried it as I still have plenty ink in my cartridges, so can't confirm how well it works. Some of the comments say some cartridges do not have the reset button. Just checked my Epson ones which have been lying out of my printer for a while waiting to go for recycling - they appear to have that little button. Thanks to everyone who comments on my projects. I am very grateful even if I don't always get around to thanking you personally! <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

[/quote:22bn7xmu] Mine neither.[/quote:22bn7xmu] Well I still have not tried this. I had bought some compatible ink cartridges which are supposed to last longer than originals. Well they do. Despite making cards with printed verses almost every day, and printing off orders for first communion invitations and doing wedding stationery this year, I've still not finished a cartridge. Have had them in my printer for over a year and they are still showing as having plenty of ink in them. How good is that?

I am amazed!! Where can you recycle Epson cartridges? I work at a charity and Epson are specified as NON-recyclable.

[/quote:4jh2nezo] The cartridges which are lasting me a while are not Epson brand - they are compatibles. I used to put all my cartridges in an ink cartridge recycling box in Tesco and you got Tesco points for doing this. They have either moved the box or disposed of it as I have not seen it for a while and have just been binning my cartridges. I have never heard that Epson are not recyclable. In fact I've attached a link which states that they are. http://www.epson.co.uk/gb/en/viewcon/co ... /index/295

Re: Are you always running out of printer ink?
I have an HP printer. My cartridges last well because I use the draft setting a lot of the time, prints text just fine and uses a lot less ink. Also use the photo setting for photo paper, that also uses less ink as the glossy paper does not absorb the ink. I also buy the XL cartridges, they are not bigger, just have more ink in :o Makes me wonder just how little ink is in the regular size
