Your family founded Trimcraft, how long have you been part of the business?
I
joined Trimcraft in November 2001.
What is your job role within the company?
My first role in the business was to set up a
marketing department which involved a small budget and a black and white
photocopier! I hired a freelance designer, sourced some products from the Far East
and this was the beginning of the brand Dovecraft.

What is an average day like at Trimcraft for you?
A
typical day involves daily emails with our key business partners and meetings
with sales, marketing, finance and distribution.
What’s the best thing about working for Trimcraft?
My
biggest reward is working with such a great team in providing consumers with
the wonderful creative products for all their crafting needs.
What’s your proudest achievement at Trimcraft?
Winning
the Nottinghamshire Small Business award in 2014 was a really big highlight. To
be recognised with such an award across all industries locally is testament to
the hard work and innovation within the entire business.
What's in store for Trimcraft in the future?
We are
now looking to expand our business with new innovative products as we enter
into new markets such as baking and kids crafting. We are also looking to grow
Trimcraft internationally by working with new distributors in the likes of
Mainland Europe and USA.

What is your favourite Trimcraft product, why?
It is a tough decision but I would have to say First Edition Travel Notes because
I enjoy travelling and I think it is a great collection for making masculine
craft projects with.
What's the best creative advise you have been given?
The
best creative advice I have been given is to know you market. Find a problem
that consumers face, whether it is a new style of crafting or a barrier to
creating something.
Do you like to craft?
Yes
absolutely! I have recently got married and we have moved into our new home. We
are now completely addicted to upcycling our old furniture and décor using the
new First Edition Deco Mache papers.

What are your favourite hobbies?
I have a passion for all things
sports. When I have time, I love to travel on adventurous treks and trails. Although
I am no expert, I have a big desire to make and craft random things for the home.
What 3 words would best describe you?
Innovative, Thoughtful and FUN!
