How
to Make
1. Instagram photos can be
saved into a folder on your smartphone or tablet. Once you have picked your
three photos, transfer your images to your computer and resize them to 7cm x
7cm on a word document. Print off your images and cut them to size. Use double
sided tape to stick the images under the Dovecraft frames.
TIP: If you do not have an instagram account, you can
still resize your digital images or photos to 7cm x 7cm to fit the Dovecraft
Photo Frames
2. My photos have been inspired
by nature so I picked the Dovecraft Leyton 12” x 12” paper pad as I felt the
colour palette worked well with the colours in the photographs. I picked the
green decorative paper for my layout.

3. For the top left photo frame,
I cut out the pink textured paper to 9.7cm x 10.4cm. I also cut the green
floral paper to 10cm x 4cm and then cut out a fishtail design on one side. With the papers, ink the edges with DecoArt Acrylic
Black Mister to create a distressed effect.
Once dry, stick the pink square to the top left of the layout and layer
the floral paper to the bottom right of the pink paper. To complement the theme
of the layout, I then folded a green paper blossom in half and stuck to the top
left of the pink paper before layering the Dovecraft Photo Frame on top. To
decorate the frame I cut a 9.3cm strip of lace and added it to the space below
the image. To add dimension to the layout, I stuck a large accordion sticker to
the top right corner of the pink paper and then stuck a smaller pink accordion
stick below it on the green 12” x 12” paper.

4. For the top right photo
frame, I cut the green floral paper to 10.1cm x 10.7cm and then cut a piece of
pink paper to 3.4cm x 11.6cm, again inking the edges. Once the papers are dry, stick the floral
green paper to the top right of the 12” x 12” paper and add the pink paper to
the centre of the paper. I then added a 14.2cm strip of lace to the centre of
the pink paper to add texture. Add two foam squares on top of each other to
each corner of the Dovecraft Photo Frame and stick on top of the layered floral
paper at an angle. To decorate, I added a pink mini peg to the top left and
bottom right of the photo frame and then added a Dovecraft Bohemian Butterfly
topper to the top right corner of the frame. To finish, I embellished the
butterfly topper with seven pink adhesive gems down the centre of the embellishment.
5. For my final instagram photo
frame, I cut the navy blue paper to 9.1cm x 11cm and then cut another piece of
the pink paper to 10cm x 11cm, tearing around the edges to create a more rustic
look. Following the theme of the other features, I inked the edges. When dry, stick
the navy paper to the bottom left of the layout and add the torn pink paper on
top at an angle. With a piece of 12.8cm ribbon, I cut a fishtail design on both
sides and layered on top of the torn pink paper at an angle. Add the photo frame on top of the paper using
two foam squares layered on top of each other, again sticking down at an angle.
I have then added a pretty pink paper flower to the top right of the frame.

6. I then typed up and printed my
text for each frame on a word document, and cut the paper to various lengths
and widths. I cut out two fishtail designs on each side for two strips of
paper. For the top right photo frame, I have cut a fishtail design on the left
side of the text and used the mini peg to keep it in place.
7. With my fourth photo frame,
I cut a piece of pink paper to 7cm x 7cm and stuck it under the photo frame. I
then layered an 8.5cm piece of lace to the centre of the frame and added a
wooden oval frame in the middle. Add a Me to You Tiny Tatty Teddy Felt Flower to
the centre of the wooden frame. Glue an
8cm piece of ribbon to the middle of the felt flower and cut a fishtail design
on both sides. To add some sparkle to my layout, I then added a Dovecraft
glitter butterfly topper to the centre of the ribbon. I used the DecoArt
Acrylic Turquoise Mister to colour in a small Mirabelle paper flower and added
a pink resin flower to the centre once the paper flower was dry. Add the
embellished paper flower to the centre of the glitter butterfly topper.

8. With a piece of Dovecraft
Black Foam, I die cut the word ‘Nature’ and glued to the space below the photo
frame. I then added a Mirabelle paper bow to a plain mini peg and glued a green
resin flower to the centre. Once dry, add the embellished mini peg to the top
left of the photo frame.
9. Cut a piece of floral green
paper to 8.5cm x 9.5cm and rip the edges off. Ink each side and stick to the
bottom right of the layout when dried. Add the embellished photo frame to the
left of the ripped floral paper, again using layered foam squares to give the
layout a dimensional effect.
10. To finish my layout, I have
decorated the page by dotting Dovecraft Bohemian buttons, Helz Cuppleditch Fun
Fair Enamel Dots and a resin flower around the page in a scattered effect.
