All you’ll need is you free papers and a couple of extra crafty essentials!

Beautiful Brushstroke Gift Bag:

Our first example is this super sweet gift bag that truly only took 10 minutes.

You Will Need:

  • Free Papers
  • Dovecraft Gift Bag
  • Dot & Dab Foam Tape
  • Dot & Dab Ultimate All-Purpose Glue Stick
  • Scissors and Ruler
  • Dovecraft Ribbon

How To Make:

For this DIY, measure the size of your gift bag and cut a slightly smaller piece out of your favourite free patterned paper, leaving about 1/8 inch all the way around the edge for a matted look, then attach to your gift back with the Dot & Dab Glue Stick. For extra interest, cut out different brush strokes from the left over paper scraps and layer them on top of the patterned paper using Dot & Dab Foam Tape for dimension. To finish, attach a matching tag made with the sentiment sheet included in the free papers set using a complimenting ribbon.

Geometric Trio of Mini Notecards:

Our second example comes in the form of a geometric trio of mini cards! Aren't they sweet?

You Will Need:

  • Free Papers
  • Dot & Dab Foam Tape
  • Mid-weight White Cardstock
  • Scoring Board and Bone Folder
  • Dot & Dab Double Sided Tape
  • Dovecraft Holographic Card
  • Scissors
  • Paper Trimmer or Guillotine

How To Make:

For this DIY we created 3 cards in under 30 mins! We made our own mini card bases by cutting 3 pieces of white cardstock to 3.5 by 7 inches, then scoring them at 3.5 inches and folding. With a little bit of maths, it was easy to cut different geometric shapes from the patterned paper and Dovecraft Holographic Card to decorate the card fronts, which were attached with a mixture of Dot & Dab Double Sided Tape and Foam Tape for dimension. Lastly, we cut the sentiments out, leaving a white border to match the matted look behind, and attached to the front of the cards.

A Beautiful Mess with Gold Accents:

Our third and final example looks great and only takes 5 minutes longer!

You Will Need:

  • Dot & Dab Foam Tape
  • Free Papers
  • Mid-weight White Cardstock
  • Scoring Board and Bone Folder
  • Dot & Dab Double Sided Tape
  • Dovecraft Gold Card
  • Paper Trimmer or Guillotine

How To Make:

For this card we once again made our own card base, by cutting our mid-weight white cardstock to 7 by 8 inches and scoring at 4 to make a finished side-folding card of 4 by 7 inches. Next we measured a piece of patterned paper to 3 by 7 inches, and sliced into strips lengthways using the paper trimmer. We also sliced thin strips of the gold cardstock, and then attached them to the card front with Dot & Dab Double Sided Tape, with the patterned paper in the same order with strips of gold in between, for an inlaid look. We left a small strip of the card base showing at each side to give a matted look. The card was finished with a sentiment from the free papers pack, matted on gold card and attached with Dot & Dab Foam tape.

This looks awesome and I totally agree, it doesn´t always need to be a lot of expensive materials to make a beautiful piece of art, and these are really good examples, that´s for sure, they´re all gorgeous.
