DIY Autumn Scrapbook Memory Box Tutorial

We love this latest scrapbook idea from Maxine, which adds another dimension to your memory keeping! This creative Memories of Autumn memory box unfolds to reveal the hidden treasures inside. We have also designed a template for you to follow making this scrapbook memory box super easy to create.

You will Need:

First Edition Floral Fusion 12” x 12” paper pad

Dovecraft Stamps, Dies, Ribbon

Fiskars Hole Punch

How to Make:

1. Follow the template to fold a sheet of 12 x 12 First Edition Floral Fusion paper. We used double-sided paper so the inside of the box is as pretty as the outside.

3.Cut two pieces of backing paper down to 7.5cm x 15.2cm and adhere to the front sides.

4.Cut two pieces of complementing 6cm x 15.2cm paper. Take the ribbon (we used one from the Dovecraft Blooming Lovely Ribbon collection) and wrap it around the centre of the box. Adhere the two pieces of card to the front of the box to hold it in place.

5.Cut out a tag shape and stamp ‘Memories of Autumn 2017’ to the front. Leave your stamp sentence to dry before using a Fiskars hole punch to thread the ribbon through.

6.Die cut a variety of leaves and add these to the front of the box to complete your project. Store your favourite photographs and treasured knick-knacks inside.

This creative memory box design can be perfect to store a variety of keepsakes. Why not focus on a beach theme and store a selection of collected shells, or adapt it to fit a music theme as a concert ticket keepsake box?

We’d love to see your scrapbook layout using this template, so don’t forget to #trimcraft when sharing on social media and to share your makes in the Inspiration area.
