This Advent calendar definitely has the wow factor and is an easy DIY project when you have to make 24 individual pockets. A great project for using up a variety of your Christmas craft stash What You Will Need 24 Dovecraft 3.5 x 3.5 Kraft Card Envelopes Dovecraft Gold Glitter Stickers Dovecraft Tis the Season sticker tags A selection of papers and embellishments from the Trimcraft Christmas Collections Washi Tape 24 Wooden Pegs Dovecraft 1.5in Circle punch Black fineliner Instructions 1. Take your first Kraft envelope and on a rough piece of paper trace a rough outline of the inner of the envelope, neaten the lines and make a template on card that you can use for each envelope. Cut 24 pieces and glue inside of each of the envelopes. Draw a decorative line or faux stitching around the outside of the envelope 2. Take a Dovecraft Tis the Season sticker tag and mount on plain paper, cut out and stick to your envelope as a base for your embellishments 3. Each envelope will need a number tag, punch 24 circles with your punch and number each one 1 to 24, stick down one per envelope. 4. Arrange your chosen embellishments on the front of your envelope, around 4 to 5 embellishments per envelope should be enough; they don’t want to be too heavy when it comes to hanging. 5. Take your wooden peg and cover the front with 1cm width washi tape, use a variety of colours to add interest. 6. To assemble the advent calendar, collect around 7 fallen twigs of different lengths from the garden, make sure they are nice and dry and arrange in a vase, you can secure with twine at the base if you need to. Arrange your envelopes randomly on the branches to make them harder to find. Watch our DIY Advent Calendar short video to see the project in more detail. Now all you have to do in fill the pockets with a nice treat and wait for the 1st of December Happy Festive Crafting!
