How to Make

1.Print the free template and draw around it onto an A4 sheet of Dovecraft white card and cut out. If your printer takes card, print your template straight onto your card to save time. Score along the lines indicated on the template.

2.Cover the front of your tool box with the stripy paper from the Blue Skies collection. Lay out your card and following the cut lines on the template, use a craft knife to cut out the sections to create the tool box handles.

3.Using the First Edition tool dies, die cut a selection of tools onto two shades of blue from the Blue Skies card blanks pack. Take the ‘DAD’ sentiment from the First Edition Male Family Sentiment die set and die cut it onto a navy card blank.

4.Use a light blue card blank and cut out a 14cm x 4cm strip. Adhere a selection of tools to the back of the strip, to appear as if they are sitting in the tool box pocket. Cut a 13cm strip of 3D foam tape and adhere your pocket of tools to the front of the tool box.

5. Adhere the word ‘DAD’ to the front pocket. Die cut the screw and a selection of bolts onto a navy, Blue Skies card blank and adhere it to the bottom left and right of your pocket,  using 3D foam pads.

6. With Dovecraft Perma Fix tape, stick two of the largest tools to the inside of the card at the top so they’re visible in the gap in the handle.

7. Cut out two,  7cm x 15.5cm pieces of Blue Skies spotty paper. Ensure to curve two of the bottom edges to match the tool box design. Glue your first piece to cover up the bottom of the tools on the inside of your card and the second piece to the opposite side.
