Project 1 - Window Aperture Card

How to Make
1. Cut
the rose pattern paper by 4.5” x 6.5” and mat onto slightly larger piece of black
card to give a small border.
2. Stick
to the front of the Window card, open the card and cut out the paper & card
covering the aperture with a craft knife.
3. Using
the largest nesting stamp die, cut one from black card. Cut another stamp using
the next size down with the green canvas paper, mat and stick to the inside of
card, make sure it lines up behind the window.
4. Assemble
your chosen decoupage character using 3D foam squares and attach her to the
green canvas paper centrally to fit into the window aperture when card is
closed.
5. Using
the second largest nesting die again, cut 1 from black card, and then cut that
piece again using the next size down stamp die to create a black frame. Add the frame to the rose pattern paper
around the window aperture using 3D foam squares.
6. Cut
a 6” length of lace ribbon and cut the ends at an angle before sticking in place
across the lower part of the card front using permafix tape.
7. Using
the Santoro Mirabelle die set, cut one sentiment panel from black card and
stamp the ‘Thank You’ sentiment onto it using white ink. Use 3D foam squares to
attach to the lace strip.
8. Assemble
the white cat decoupage using 3D foam squares and stick to the left hand side
of the sentiment panel.
9. To
finish, we have decorated the black frame with 3 paper roses. To shape the
stems, twist the stems around a handle or thin pencil. Glue to the lower right corner of black frame
using silicone glue.
Project 2- Large Tag with
Captured Sequins

How to Make
1. Cut
a tag shape approximately 4” x6 ¼” from Kraft card. Cut the top sides at an
angle and punch a hole in the top. To ensure tag hole does not get worn out,
cut two circles using the Kraft card and punch a hole at the centre. Stick a
circle on each side of the tag ensuring the punched holes are all aligned.
2. Cut
a piece of the Santoro Mirabelle A5 brown patterned paper by 3 7/8” x 5” and stick
to tag front.
3. Cut
a brown striped ribbon approximately 4.5” and cut the ends into tails and stick
across the top of the brown paper panel using tape.
4. Cut
a piece of lace ribbon approximately 4 ¼” and stick across the bottom of the brown
pattern paper, cutting the ends of the lace at an angle.
5. Cut
one pink doily in half and place on the tag so it overhangs on both sides. Cut a piece of pink patterned paper by 3 ¾ “
x 4 5/8” and wrap a brown striped ribbon
across the front, securing the ends to the back of the paper, then stick the
whole piece down onto tag.

6. For
this decoupage project, we are only using layers 1, 2, & 3. Cut a piece of brown patterned paper the same
size as the layer 1 base image, this is approximately. 3” x 4 ¼” and glue to a
piece of kraft card trimmed to size.
Using a craft knife & metal edge ruler, cut out an aperture to create
a small frame. As an alternative, you
can cut 4 strips of card for the frame edges separately and hide joins with an
embellishment.
7. Glue
the decoupage layer 2 onto a piece of acetate. Once dry, glue the frame on top
so the character will line up with base layer.
Apply 3D foam squares to the back of frame section and add gold & black sequins to the centre avoiding the sticky foam whilst the frame still
upside down.
8. Line
up the base panel on top and press down firmly all around. Turn the frame the right
way up and you will have captured sequins within the layer. Now add layer 3 pieces on top to build up the
character. To hide any foam around the
edges of the frame, glue twine into the recess all around. Use 3D foam squares to stick the completed
decoupage frame to the tag.
9. For
extra detail, print the ‘For Someone Special’ stamp in black ink onto a piece
of paper from the collection, trim down and cut the end into a tail. Tuck under
the frame at right hand side, along with a small piece of lace and slip a stick
pin through it so the end is securely hidden behind the frame.
10. To
finish, cut pink organza ribbon as desired and feed through hole in top of
tag. Tie another piece into a bow and
add a diamante charm, stick both with silicone glue to cover the tag hole.
Project 3- Decoupage Picture

How to Make
1. Take
an inexpensive picture frame with a 5 x 7” internal photo mount, stick pink
butterfly paper to cover the inner opening area and add some stamped details
using the clear stamps using the black and grey ink.
2. Assemble
the decoupage layers 1, 2, 3 & 4 using 3D foam squares. Die cut the Mirabelle frame from black card
and stick to the back of the decoupage panel so that a small edge shows at
left. Wrap a small piece ribbon around
and stick to the back. Once you have completed
your decoupage, add to the centre top of the using permafix tape.
3. Die
cut the sentiment panel with your chosen Mirabelle paper. With black card die
cut letters to spell ‘love’ and glue to the panel.

4. Cut
a length of green & black ribbon and cut the ends into tails. Place across
the lower part of the frame aperture evenly under the decoupage using permafix
tape. Add the completed ‘Love’ panel
using 3D foam squares.
5. To
finish, add 2 adhesive pearls and a pink accordion sticker to the right hand
side of sentiment.
If your frame has an inner mount like this one,
cover with Mirabelle glittered paper and trim aperture with a craft knife. For the white mount, stamp details from the
clear stamps sets using black and grey inks as a finishing touch. To complete,
assemble the mounts and main image into the frame.
