Wreaths make a beautiful decoration for your home so today, Maxine will take you step by step to create this gorgeous project that will be perfect for welcoming in the spring season!

You will Need
First Edition Nesting Bloom Die Set
Dovecraft Painted Blooms 12x12 Paper Pad, Gems
Ribbon
How to Make
1.Draw a circle on a piece of thick cardboard approximately 19cm in diameter. Next draw a 12cm circle on the inside. Cut out both circles.

2.Adhere a patterned piece of Painted Blooms paper onto your circular cardboard cut out with Dovecraft Perma Fix tape. Flip it over and use a craft knife to cut out the aperture.
3.Punch a hole in one side of the wreath to thread ribbon through, to hang the wreath.

4.Take the three smallest dies within your First Edition Nesting Bloom Dies set and die cut them on to a variety of Painted Blooms paper.
5.Next, take the largest flower die cuts and cut slits next to each petal.

6.Shape each petal on your large flower die cuts with a pencil or pokey tool.

7.Take 8 of the largest flowers and cut in a spiral. Roll the spiral around and adhere the end with glue, to the bottom of a larger flower die cut.

8.Begin adhering your layered flowers to the cardboard ring. Ensure to add the smaller flower die cuts around the larger flower die cuts.

9.Add a selection of Painted Blooms gems to the centre of your chosen flower die cuts.

10.Thread through a length of ribbon in the punched hole you made earlier on. Tie a secure knot.

This gorgeous project will really draw everyone’s attention! What a wonderful way of introducing some colour and craftiness in to your home.

Alternatively you could Die cut one of the larger Nesting Bloom dies on to a card blank, ensuring to not die cut the folded edge. Then you can embellish your card with a smaller Nesting Bloom die cut and other wonderful Painted Blooms products.

Maxine has also created an adorable pin cushion by die cutting the Nesting Bloom Dies on to Dovecraft Felt. She has then done a blanket stitch along the edge of her die cuts to connect them and added a smaller die cut to adorn the top. Once filled, this little cushion will sit beautiful on your craft desk (It’s SO cute!)

How will you use the First Edition Nesting Bloom dies? Make sure to upload them to the Inspiration Area and to #trimcraft when sharing on social media.
