Advent Calendar Day 9 - Free Festive Papercut Template

Celebrate all things Christmassy by creating this stunning festive papercut with our free template.

This makes a beautiful A4 sized design which looks great mounted in a frame as wall art and hung in your home. You can cut the design by hand using a craft knife, or you can create the project using a Cricut machine alongside its online software Design Space.

For an eye-catching Christmas card, you could scale down the design and adhere it to a 5”x7” kraft card blank.

You will Need

Dovecraft A4 Kraft Paper

Dovecraft A4 Red Glitter Card

Craft Knife

A4 Photo Frame

Free Template

Dovecraft Ultimate Glue

Cricut Air Machine (Optional)

How to Make

1.Place your free template on top of your chosen A4 glitter card sheet. Secure it by adding a few strips of Washi Tape while you cut.

Alternatively, you can crop down the template image and upload it to your Cricut Design Space as a cutting template, then sit back and let the Cricut Air machine cut the template out for you. Once done, use the Cricut spatula tools to carefully peel off the design from your mat.

2.If cutting by hand, use a craft knife and start from the centre of the design and work your way out, ensuring to follow the black lines on your template.

3. Adhere your festive papercut onto a piece of A4 Kraft Card with Dovecraft Ultimate Glue. Once dry, put it in an A4 frame and display!

Tip: To make the design stand out set your papercut against a contrasting background paper. We opted for red glitter card with A4 kraft card, but you could choose colours to suit your theme or décor!

How will you display your festive papercut design? We’d love to see don’t forget to #tcxmas2017 when uploading to social media and to share your makes in the Inspiration area!
