This is such a quick and easy make, and as this tutorial is all about upcycling old or plain gift bags, you could scale your template up or down to fit the size of your chosen bag. This would also make a fun kids’ craft as they can have fun customising the bag with extra gems, stickers or other embellishments.

You will Need

Simply Creative Glitter Felt

A Plain Gift Bag

Helz Cuppleditch Wonderland Pom Pom Ribbon

Dovecraft Crafters Glue or Perma-Fix Tape

How to Make

1.Using your free template, cut around the Simply Creative glitter felt to create the face and hat of the snowman. Adhere the sheet of white glitter felt to the bag to make the snowman’s face, and the black glitter felt for the snowman’s hat.

2.Cut out the rest of the snowman’s features from coloured glitter felt using the template and adhere these to the bag with double-sided tape. Add two red pom-poms and holly leaf shapes to the band of the hat.

3.Using scissors, feather cut the end of the snowman’s scarf to give the impression of tassels.

You now have your finished gift bag design ready to fill with festive treats!

What treats will you store in your snowman gift bag? We’d LOVE to see, so don’t forget to #tcxmas2017 when uploading to social media and to share your makes in the Inspiration area.
