Trimcraft Christmas Bloggers day 2017

We thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas bloggers day so we thought we would show what we got up to throughout the day in this crafty article!

As we were launching our fabulous Christmas collections in August, we had to make sure our decorations were top knotch for our bloggers event, including building this fireplace made of foam and cardboard to act as a festive photo prop! (Well Done Cat, this was your most impressive craft yet!)

bloggers_day_august_xmas_3.jpgOur bloggers day was all about revealing the beautiful Christmas collections we were releasing for 2017 as well as getting our bloggers in the festive spirit..in August. Challenging we know but we think we pulled it off!

bloggers_day_august_xmas_13.jpgThe bloggers began decorating polystyrene wreaths with our jolly selection of First Edition Deco Mache papers. They did a fantastic job and amazingly, each one looked entirely unique. Each wreath was finished with sparkling embellishments and pinecones Claire had collected from her garden! Kirsty Allsop would have definitely been wowed by these brilliant home decor projects.

Next, we went on to make an item every Christmas dinner needs...a cracker! Maxine showed our bloggers how to use our free templates to create 3 brilliant shapes and it was definitely a success!

Inbetween craft tutorials, we made sure to replenish everyone's energy with our scrumptious buffet, mince pies and lots of popcorn! (Decorated to fit the festive theme of course)

To make this bloggers event a day to remember, we challenged our bloggers to create their own felt christmas tree decoration with the free templates provided. So many cute characters began to appear amidst the coloured felt and jingle bells including penguins and gingerbread men!

Our last craft tutorial of the day was to design a card that we would send to a charity at Christmas! The designs were so endearing and we think our chosen charity will love to receive these pretty projects.

bloggers_day_august_xmas_55.jpgTo finish we gave each blogger a sack of goodies (way better than what santa and his elves could offer) along with a personalised mug with the sentiment, 'I'm so craft-tea!'

bloggers_day_august_xmas_47.jpgThank you to all the bloggers who attended our event and for those who joined in on the fun by keeping up to date on our social media. If you'd like to see our sneaky peek of our Christmas collections, check out this article! Ooh and the free templates we used throughout the day are in our freebies folder. We will be sharing videos from the fantastic bloggers that attended soon, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled for those!

Looked such a lovely day and the Facebook Live videos were fabulous! The Christmas ranges look just gorgeous... personal favourite is Winter Wishes with it's delicate colours. Gutted I was unable to make it... fingers crossed for the next one!

I was following this on Facebook through the day, and it really looked awesome. Such a shame I´m living so far from away, cause it would definitely have been a dream to attend such an arrangement, that´s for sure. But thanks sooo much for all the free templates, they´ll be handy, when all my girls come here to play later in the year too, so thanks sooo much. And all the new papers were gorgeous too.

Reading the blog about the Christmas in August, I read its a shame you didn't go but live to far away. Could you tell me where it was held please? I've looked and can't find the venue anywhere. What area of the UK are you in? I'm looking for someone in Brighton and Hove who may be interested in a crafty get together bi-monthly. Best craftyness. Andrea

On the picture above of the cards everyone made for a charity, can you tell me please how the 'IT'S Christmas' words were made? Are they die cut letters or stickers ect? These cards look like I might be able to make them if I had the info on which item to buy! .
