How to Make
Cut a piece of white card to 4.8cm
x 12.5cm and use the roof template to cut out the scalloped design. Score and
fold across the card at 1.2cm.
To create the roof effect, we have used the
brown newspaper print and the dusky pink paper to cut four scalloped 1.6cm x
12.5cm pieces of paper. To finish the roof, we added a 12.5cm piece of lace and
stuck to the top of the roof with tape.
Cut other two pieces of white card
to 12.5cm x 16.5cm and stick one of the cards over the scored roof design and
stick the other card to the back of the scored panel to create the card blank.
We have then covered the bottom of
the card front with a 12.5cm x 9.5cm piece of the Dovecraft Bloom and Grow rose
paper. Cut a piece of the pink floral paper to 12.5cm x 7.1cm and stick above
the rose paper.
Where the papers meet, we then
added a 12.5cm piece of Dovecraft Bohemian lace using double sided tape.
Cut a piece of card to 1.6cm x
7.6cm and use the windowsill design from the template to create the scalloped
design. To cover the windowsill we added the Dovecraft Bloom and Grow pale pink
Cut a piece of card to 7.7cm x
7.8cm and layer with a piece of the sky pattern paper cut to 7.7cm x 7.8cm. Stick
the scored panel from the windowsill card under the card before sticking the window
and windowsill to the centre of the card.
We have then die cut the larger
cupcake from the First Edition Tea Party die set using four different papers
from the Bloom & Grow paper pad. Using the four different papers, create
two cupcakes using alternative papers for the icing and the case. Place a small
amount of glue to the sky background paper at the bottom and stick your paper
With an 8.9cm x 8.6cm piece of
card and white textured cardstock, cut the window template out. We have created
a 3D bowed effect by adding double sided tape to the sides of the window and
placing over the sky background. Remember not to stick the top and bottom of
We have then cut out the ‘Sweet
Treats’ sentiment from the template and stuck it below the windowsill. To
finish, we have added 7.6cm strip of lace to the top of the windowsill
