3 Inspiring Card making Ideas Using First Edition Bella Rose content image

I love crafting with the Bella rose papers the pearlescent and embossed effects on the papers add extra dimension to the cards. 

You Will Need

First Edition 8x8 Bella Rose Papers
Santoro Lace Ribbon
Santoro Jute & Raffia
Dovecraft Alphabet Stamps
Dovecraft Curiosity Corner Paper Doilies
Dovecraft Kraft Cards & Envelopes 


Project 1: Embossed Rose Card

1.   Cut a piece of check card to 11.5 x 17.5cm, distress the edges by running your craft knife along the edges, glue down on a 5x7 kraft card.
2.   Cut a piece of white floral card to 8.5 x 15cm, again distress the edges and glue down onto the card blank, stick down a paper doily in the bottom half of the floral paper.
3.   Cut a rectangle to 6 x 13.5cm from the embossed rose card and cut one end to flag points.  Add a strip of lace ribbon to the flat end and then tie a bow in a strip of jute and glue on top of the lace, fix to the card blank.
4.   Stamp your sentiment on the green polka card and cut it out and distress the edges, layer on top of the pink polka paper, distress the edges before gluing it on the card. 


Project 2: Just For You Heart Card

1.   Take a 5 x 7 card and turn landscape, cover with a piece of the red striped paper cut to 17.5 x 12.5cm.
2.   Using the red floral card rip one edge of the card against a metal edged ruler and then cut to approx 17.5 x 5.5cm, repeat for the smaller strip at the bottom cutting the card to 17.5 x 1.5 cm. Glue strips of lace under the ripped edges and glue down on the card.
3.   Cut a piece of red striped card to 7 x 4 cm, punch small hearts at either end, stamp your sentiment and mount on foam squares in the centre, glue on the card.
4.   Punch 9 small hearts out of the floral card and stick on in rows using foam squares.

Project 3: Pearlescent Rose Card

1.   Take a 6x6 kraft card and measure 5.5cms in on the right hand side, cut this bit off the front of the card to create a shorter panel.
2.   Cover the front with a piece of blue striped card cut to 9.5 x 15 cm and the pearlescent rose card cut to 9 x 14.5cm, layer and stick on the front panel of the card.
3.   Cut  a piece of blue striped card cut to 6 x 15 cm and the pearlescent rose card cut to 5.5 x 14.5cm, layer and stick on the exposed back panel.
 
4.   Cut a strip of blue striped card to 11 x 2 cm, from the left add a valley fold at 2cm and a mountain fold at 3cm, repeat the other side, trim the ends to flag points.  Stamp your sentiment in the centre then glue the end flaps to the card to make the sentiment stand out.

5.   Finish by gluing a length of lace ribbon on the under edge of the front flap.
